A matter of perspective

Would you say you’re naturally more pessimistic or optimistic?

The lens you view life through makes a huge difference in how you experience it.

For example…

Do you view every setback as a personal attack on your best laid plans? Or do you see opportunities where others see all of the challenges involved?

A life well lived requires a happy medium approach.

So let’s strive to become “optimistic realists.”

Here’s how:

  1. We accept that life is hard.

  2. We acknowledge that bad things will happen.

  3. We accept there’s a lot outside of our control.

  4. We remind ourselves that we ALWAYS control our own actions.

  5. We strive to find the positive in all situations.

Easier said than done? Of course.

But the reward – a life well lived, filled with less stress and more ease – seems like a more than worthy pursuit.
