Putting it all in perspective

I find myself focused on gratitude as I write this last post of 2025.

Gratitude for those of you who read & listen here.

Gratitude for those who allow me to serve as their guide through life’s ups & downs.

And gratitude that I’m able to live my life aligned with my values — because you do.

Maybe you’re feeling a similar sense of gratitude.

Maybe you’re feeling the opposite.

Or maybe you find yourself somewhere in between.

No matter where you are right now, here’s some perspective worth remembering:

All the answers you seek are inside you. You just need to be able to see and hear them.

Through my own journey and in getting a front row seat to some of yours, I’ve learned that no one else can answer life’s questions for us despite how much we might want them to.

However, others can serve as our guides. They can help us ask the right questions so we can unlock things about ourselves that we might not otherwise have been able to. Two of my own favorite guides, Lawrence Yeo and Morgan Housel, both released new books this year and today I’d like to share them with you.

Lawrence Yeo’s Inner Compass can help you unlock so many different areas of your life in just 100 pages. I’m already on my third re-read of this book as I walk away with more useful observations every time through.

Morgan Housel’s The Art of Spending can help you figure out how to spend comfortably, confidently, and uniquely on the things that matter most to you. Is there any better use of our financial resources than that?

I hope you find these guides and their books as impactful in your own lives as they have been in mine this year. May you continue to find the answers you seek within and have a joyous holiday season surrounded by the friends & family that make your life special.
